How to make your benefits go further.

Hello

Just to give you an update re Tesco, they called and said, that if you contact them on customer.services@tesco.co.uk, and ask that all your vouchers to be evouchers, and so online only, they will flip a switch on your account, so that you get bigger voucher spends rather than wasting half on instore vouchers that you cannot use.

Another way to save money on groceries, is to use My Supermarket.com they provide comparisons of prices, across all of the supermarkets, so you get to choose which is the best one to shop with, then at the end, if you go to ‘swap’ you can swap what you have put on your order for cheaper ones, and calories too.

Don’t go for the ‘buy one get one free’ offers, unless you actually need the goods, they are a lure, to get you to spend more money, with them, if you go into the store, go for some of the foods, that are reduced, because of the ‘use by dates’ those types of foods are normally OK for a week or so after the date, but do a sniff test before using, you don’t want to make yourself sick.

Finally, when it comes to household bills, use price comparison sites, then ring up your service provider, and challenge them on the package you are with, I did this with BT, and got a nice discount from them, you are the customer, they want to both please you and keep you, don’t be afraid to haggle!
